Read the Bible in an "undertone" (Joshua 1:8)

Reading in an "undertone" means that you should read at a pace that allows for meditation. When you read the Bible “in an undertone,” it will help you to fix attention on portions that are especially useful and encouraging to you at that moment. On finding such phrases, verses, or accounts, read them slowly, perhaps forming the words with the tongue and lips. The full weight of a Scriptural point may strike you in a deeply personal way. Why is this important? Because getting the sense of God’s counsel gives you strong motivation to put it into practice.

A visit to The Gentle Barn, Knoxville, Tennessee Was a real treat to visit The Gentle Barn in Tennessee. http://www.gentlebarn.org/tennessee/ Caring workers and volunteers taking such excellent care of animals that have been severely injured, neglected, and sometimes emotionally abused. One of the highlights is Dudley the cow. His story is seen in a 17 minute video, The Dudley Story . Hard to watch but well worth seeing how this animal is now helping others (especially children) to heal from physical and emotional wounds.
